Boundaries 2023

B o u n d a r i e s  2023

NOVEMBER 24TH & 25TH

Hello!

We are extremely thrilled to be able to announce the first wave of artists who will be performing at this years Boundaries 2023.

Tickets are on sale NOW!! You can grab a 2 DAY PASS in the Ticket section.

The programme is starting to take shape and we cannot wait for you all to travel to Sunderland to unwind, indulge and take in all of the brilliant creative minds on display!!

We are fully aware that living costs have sky rocketed recently and with that the ability to access and get involved with events have become increasingly limited.

Boundaries aim is to try and keep prices as as low as possible so the full 2 day pass for this years event will be £15, with day tickets at £10 each. 2 day passes will go on sale Friday 19th, while Day tickets will be on sale in July, alongside the day programmes.

EX EASTER ISLAND HEAD  /  JULIA REIDY  /  MUN SING  /  CRYS COLE  /  MICROCORPS  /  HARESS  /  SLY & THE FAMILY DRONE

ECKA MORDECAI  /  ROBERT RIDLEY SHACKLETON  /  COMPETITION...and more to be announced.

This first announcement showcases a wide and wonderful array of artists ranging from the sublime imaginative guitar playing of Julia Reidy, the hypersound super dance crunches of Mun Sing, the incredibly delicate and disciplined still sounds of Crys Cole, the encompassing rhythmic percussion and guitar ensemble of Ex Easter Island Head, Micorcorps improv and processed electronic systems, the deep evocative repetitive guitar folk playing of Haress, the blasts, skuzz and skronked up jazz noise rock of Sly & The Family Drone, Competitions brilliant leftfield minimalist pop gems, Ecka Mordecai bringing her stunning intimate textural methods and manipulated acoustic sounds, while Robert Ridley Shackleton will entertain the masses with his untouchable card funk.

This is only half of the full programme with more amazing artists to be announced in the upcoming months!

For this years edition we will be using 3 locations, The Peacock, The Dun Cow and The Minster Church.

Unfortunately due to the historic nature of the buildings The Peacock and The Dun Cow have limited accessibility with only access via steep staircase. We are truly sorry if this affects your decision to attend this years event, we are hoping to address this situation moving forward with future events.

The Minster Church is wheelchair friendly with easy access entry and comfortable positions to experience all performances.

If you would like anymore information please don't hesitate to get in touch via the email - infoboundariesfest@gmail.com

If you like the look of this years edition, i advise you to grab a 2 day pass before they all get snapped up! If you could spread the word and tell as many people as possible, as we wouldn't want anyone to miss out, we would be forever grateful! I cant wait for you to all see the full programme as it is looking like a rather special few days in Sunderland this Winter! What a way to slowly close the end of the year!

You can find out more about each performer at the artist section of the festival website, where there is bio, music links and more for you all to peruse and ponder.

More info as the weeks and months draw closer....
